What is Arbat Bilbao?
Arbat Bilbao is a versatile private event space, restaurant, and txoko located in the heart of Bilbao. We offer a fully equipped venue where you can host everything from intimate dinners to parties, corporate events, and private gatherings. The concept is simple: a space with a professional kitchen, a spacious dining area, and everything you need to enjoy time with your people — no hassle.
Where is Arbat located?
We are at Botica Vieja 21 bajo, 48015 Bilbao, very close to the Palacio Euskalduna and the Bilbao estuary (Ría de Bilbao). The area is well connected and easy to reach by public transport or car. If you are coming from the city centre, you can get here in just a few minutes.
What is the maximum capacity of the venue?
Arbat can host up to 60 guests. It is the ideal size for events where you want to keep an intimate atmosphere without feeling cramped. It works perfectly for small groups of 10–15 people as well as larger celebrations.
What are Arbat’s opening hours?
Our hours are 11:00 to 18:00 and 20:00 to 01:00. This allows us to host lunches, dinners, and evening events. If you have a specific scheduling need, get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate you.
What types of events can be held at Arbat?
Virtually any type of private event: intimate weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries, communions, farewell dinners, corporate dinners, product launches, team meetings, team-building activities, and family celebrations. The space adapts to whatever you need.
How much does it cost to hire the venue?
Prices start from €15 per person for basic venue hire. We also offer all-inclusive packages: the basic package from €35 per person includes a set menu and use of the space, and the open bar package from €48 per person with everything included. Every event is different, so we will prepare a personalised quote based on your needs.
Does Arbat include catering?
Yes, we have our own professional kitchen and in-house cooking team. We prepare customised Basque cuisine menus tailored to each event. There is no need to hire an external caterer — we take care of everything, from starters to desserts. We can also adapt menus for food intolerances or dietary preferences.
What is the txoko service?
A txoko is a traditional Basque concept: a private space with a kitchen where groups of friends or family gather to cook and enjoy a meal together. At Arbat, we offer a 25 m² fully equipped professional kitchen and a 100 m² dining room — no membership of a gastronomic society required. Just come, cook with your group, and enjoy the space.
Can corporate events be organised at Arbat?
Absolutely. Arbat is perfect for corporate events: team meetings, presentations, team-building days, Christmas lunches, or company dinners. We have a 65-inch TV, a sound system, and the privacy a professional event requires — all in an atmosphere that feels more relaxed than a conventional hotel or function room.
Is there parking nearby?
Arbat is in the Palacio Euskalduna area, where you will find several public car parks nearby. The area is also well served by public transport (metro, tram, and buses). We recommend checking local parking options if you are driving.

Can the venue be decorated to my taste?
Yes, the space is completely versatile and you can decorate it however you like. Many of our clients bring their own decorations for weddings, birthdays, or themed events. We give you access with enough time to set everything up your way. We can also help you with ideas if you need inspiration.
Do you have a terrace or views?
Arbat offers views of the Ría de Bilbao (Bilbao estuary), which adds a special touch to the space — especially for afternoon and evening events. Although we do not have an outdoor terrace, the waterfront views create a lovely atmosphere for any celebration.
What equipment and amenities are included?
Arbat comes fully equipped: a professional kitchen with all the cookware and utensils you need, a 65-inch TV, a music system with speakers, complete furniture (tables, chairs, tableware, glassware, and cutlery), and everything essential for your event to run smoothly. All you have to do is show up and enjoy.
